Alerting

This page assumes that you have already created and selected an environment.

LayerOps provides a flexible alerting system to keep you informed about important events in your environment. You can receive notifications through:

  • Email notifications
  • Webhook notifications (compatible with Slack and Mattermost)

Alert Types

You can customize which types of alerts each receiver gets notified about. LayerOps offers a wide range of alert types covering various aspects of your infrastructure and services. This includes alerts for backup operations, resource usage (such as CPU and memory), and many other infrastructure events.

Each receiver can be configured to receive specific types of alerts based on your monitoring needs.

Webhook Integration

To set up webhook notifications:

  1. Get your webhook URL from Slack, Mattermost, or your preferred platform
  2. Add the webhook URL in the alert configuration
  3. Select which alert types you want to receive through this webhook
